Serious Math<\/h1>\n

Little Tommy was doing very badly in math. His parents had tried everything<\/span><\/p>\n

they could think of. Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Tommy down<\/span><\/p>\n

and enrolled him in the local Catholic school.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the first day, little Tommy came home with a very serious look on his<\/span><\/p>\n

face. He went to his room and started studying. Books and papers were spread<\/span><\/p>\n

out all over the room and little Tommy was hard at work. His mother was<\/span><\/p>\n

amazed.<\/span><\/p>\n

This went on for some time. Finally, little Tommy brought home his report<\/span><\/p>\n

card. He quietly laid it on the table and went up to his room.<\/span><\/p>\n

With great trepidation, his Mom looked at it and to her surprise! Little<\/span><\/p>\n

Tommy got an ‘A’ in math. She went to his room and said: “Son, what was it?<\/span><\/p>\n

Was it the nuns?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Little Tommy looked at her and shook his head, no.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Well, then”, she replied, “was it the books, the discipline, the structure,<\/span><\/p>\n

What was it?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Little Tommy looked at her and said, “Well, on the first day of school, when<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren’t fooling around.”<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
